Yodaka strongly wished to change his name. He thought how happy he would be if he could change it to the name of a beautiful bird, and one day, he went to the owl, who was the elder of the forest. "My name is Yodaka. But I dislike this name. Please, would you give me a new name?" Yodaka asked, trembling. However, the owl narrowed its eyes and coldly declared, "You are a night hawk. As long as you are a night hawk, there is no way you can be called by any name other than 'Yodaka'." Yodaka was disappointed and left the place.
