若紫(わかむらさき)

Hikaru Genji lost his mother (Kiritsubo no Koi) when he was very young, and kept constantly searching for his mother's image. One spring day, he visited a mountain temple called Kitayama for medical treatment. There, Genji happened to spot an exceptionally lovely girl of about ten years old (Wakamurasaki) crying over a sparrow that had escaped in the garden.
