During the fierce battle between the Genji and Heike, the famous 'Battle of Yashima' occurred. The Heike side set up a 'folding fan target' painted with a red sun at the tip of a ship on the sea, challenging Genji, 'Shoot this down if you can.' With the ship rocking violently on the waves, it was a highly tense moment where missing the target would bring shame to Genji.
