Giving up our house in Tokyo, we ended up relocating to a mountain villa in Izu. Our financial situation was such that we had no choice but to follow my uncle's advice. The loneliness of leaving the city I was so accustomed to is beyond words, but considering my mother's health, life in this quiet place is not so bad.
