他(ほか)の鳥(とり)たちに馬鹿(ばか)にされるから。

Yodaka was a bird. However, compared to other birds, the color of his body was not beautiful. His eyes were not very pretty either, and he was often told that his mouth was too big. Because of this, he was often made fun of by other birds, who would say, "You really are a night hawk." Yodaka felt very unpleasant about his own name being "Yodaka." He always thought that there was no way he was a member of the hawk family.
