紀貫之(きのつらゆき)が作者(さくしゃ)で、女性に(じょせいに)なりすまして「ひらがな」で心(こころ)を表現(ひょうげん)した

'The Tosa Diary' (Tosa Nikki) is the first Japanese kana diary literature, written by the Heian period poet Ki no Tsurayuki. The opening phrase, 'I try to see if a woman can keep a diary, which they say men also do,' is extremely famous. At the time, men typically wrote diaries in classical Chinese (kanji only), but Tsurayuki posed as a woman to freely express the movements of the heart in 'hiragana'.
