On a night of a severe blizzard, Minokichi, a young woodcutter, was stranded in a mountain hut with his old master. Waking up suddenly from freezing sleep, Minokichi saw a terrifyingly beautiful woman in a white kimono standing in the room. The woman blew her white breath upon the master, freezing him to death.
