'The Sound of Waves' (Shiosai) is an immortal masterpiece written by Yukio Mishima in the Showa period, depicting the beautiful love of a pure young man and woman nurtured within great nature. On Utajima, a tiny isolated island floating in Ise Bay of Mie Prefecture, a poor but healthy and sincere young fisherman, Shinji Kubo, encountered an unfamiliar beautiful girl by the shore one evening.
