豪雨(ごうう)による川の氾濫(はんらん)と橋(はし)の流失、そして森(もり)での山賊の襲撃

After safely finishing his sister's wedding in his hometown, Melos started running early on the third morning to return to Syracuse within the promised deadline. However, numerous obstacles stood in his path. The river was flooded due to torrential rains from the previous day, washing away the bridge. Throwing himself into the muddy stream and swimming across, Melos was then attacked by vicious bandits in the forest.
