Though Kisho had mastered all of Hiei's techniques, seeking an even higher height, he visited Kan-yo, a legendary hermit over a hundred years old living deep in the Taikou mountains. Kan-yo possessed no bow or arrow, displaying the divine skill of 'Fu Sha No Sha' (shooting without shooting)—shooting down a flying black kite with the 'bow of the mind.' Facing this ultimate dimension of 'nothingness,' Kisho was deeply impressed, entering nine years of training under him.
