返品 / 返却

買(か)ったシャツのサイズが合(あ)わなかったので、商品(しょうひん)をお店(みせ)に「返品」した。

「返品」 (henpin) means the return of goods or merchandise. This occurs when a purchased item is sent back to the store, usually because it's faulty, the wrong size, or not what the customer wanted. You use it with 「する (suru)」, as in 「商品を返品する (shōhin o henpin suru)」 (to return a product), or 「返品を受け付ける (henpin o uketsukeru)」 (to accept returns).

「返品」は、買った商品を店に返すことです。サイズが合わない、不良品だったなどの理由で商品を返却する時に使います。「返品する」や「返品を受け付ける」のように使います。
