Kazoku (家族) means "family." It refers to the people in your household or your relatives. This is a general term to speak about one's immediate family members. You use it when talking about your parents, siblings, children, and so on. Example: 私の家族は五人です。(Watashi no kazoku wa gonin desu.) = My family has five people.
