としたら

Both "〜としたら" and "〜とすれば" express a hypothetical "if," but "〜としたら" is more often used for purely hypothetical or imaginary situations with a low probability of occurring. Since "being reborn" is an unrealistic assumption, "〜としたら" is more natural. On the other hand, "〜とすれば" tends to be used for more logical assumptions based on certain facts or information.
