The cloth his wife made was very beautiful and sold for a high price. However, as many days passed, Yohei became curious about how his wife was weaving the cloth. Yohei broke his promise and peeked inside through a gap in the room. There, instead of a human, was a single crane. The crane was plucking its own feathers to weave the cloth.
