'Matasaburo the Wind Imp' (Kaze no Matasaburo) is an immortal masterpiece of Japanese children's literature written by Kenji Miyazawa during the Showa period, portraying children's friendship and mysterious events within great nature. At the beginning of September, on a day when a strong wind blew, a mysterious red-haired boy named Saburo Takada transferred to a small primary school deep in the mountains of Tohoku.
