Upon returning to the land, Yamasachihiko returned the fishhook to his brother. However, because Umisachihiko still attacked him in anger, Yamasachihiko threw 'Shiomitsutama' to raise the tide, drowning his brother. When the surrendered brother begged for mercy, he threw 'Shiohirutama' to lower the tide. Umisachihiko became his younger brother's vassal, and the two reconciled.
