💡 Nuance & Usage:
Has two main meanings: 1. To glare at someone with a challenging or contemptuous look, often from a superior position (睨みつける、見下す). 2. To overlook a vast area, surveying it (広範囲を見渡す). The first meaning is more common. 人を威圧的に見下すような視線や、広範囲を一望する様子を表す。前者の意味で使われることが多い。
