An adverbial form of 強いる. Often used to indicate that one is doing something reluctantly or making a choice under duress, or to emphasize a point by 'daring to say' something. (「強いる」の副詞形。何かを嫌々行ったり、やむを得ず選択したりする場合、または「あえて言うなら」というように点を強調する場合によく使われます。)
