決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「that」を日本語で表現する際、そちら と そのため では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
そちら は主に「そちら (sochira)（N5）」として使われ、Polite equivalent of それ (sore) and そこ (soko). Refers to something near the listener. (それ・そこの丁寧な言い方。聞き手の近くにあるものや場所、人を指します。)を指します。
一方、そのため は「そのため (sono tame)（N4）」として使用され、A conjunction used to indicate a cause-and-effect relationship, where the preceding statement is the reason for the following one. More formal than 「だから」.を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
