英語の「thank」を日本語で表現する際、ごくろうさま と 慰労 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
ごくろうさま は主に「ごくろうさま (gokurōsama)（N2）」として使われ、A polite expression of appreciation for someone's effort, typically used by a superior to a subordinate, or between colleagues when one has completed a task. It's generally less formal than お疲れ様です (otsukaresama desu) and not used to superiors.を指します。
