英語の「respect」を日本語で表現する際、尊敬 と おもんじる では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
尊敬 は主に「そんけい (sonkei)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to respect, esteem, or admiration toward someone's excellent character, achievements, or behavior.
