決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「other」を日本語で表現する際、他方 と かたや では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
他方 は主に「たほう (tahō)（N2）」として使われ、Used to introduce a contrasting or different aspect, similar to "on the other hand" or "meanwhile" in English. Often used in formal writing or speeches. (ある事柄とは対照的な別の側面や状況を導入する際に使われます。)を指します。
一方、かたや は「かたや (kataya)（N1）」として使用され、Used to present a contrasting or opposing situation, opinion, or group of people. Similar to 「一方で」. (その一方で)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
