決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「nature」を日本語で表現する際、性質 と 天性 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
性質 は主に「せいしつ (seishitsu)（N3）」として使われ、人や物、物質などが持っている生まれつきの特徴や属性を指します。一時的な状態ではなく、本質的な特徴を表す場合に使われます。(Refers to the inherent characteristics or attributes of people, objects, or substances. Used to describe essential traits rather than temporary states.)を指します。
一方、天性 は「てんせい (tensei)（N3）」として使用され、Refers to nature, innate disposition, natural talents, or a born gift that one possesses since birth.
