決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「large」を日本語で表現する際、大勢 と 伽藍 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
大勢 は主に「おおぜい (oozei)（N3）」として使われ、Exclusively used to refer to a large number of *people*. Cannot be used for objects, animals, or abstract concepts. Often used adverbially (大勢の人が〜).を指します。
一方、伽藍 は「がらん（C2PLUS）」として使用され、(CEFR C2PLUS語彙シラバスにおける重要表現です。)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
