決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「first」を日本語で表現する際、上旬 と 初めに では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
上旬 は主に「じょうじゅん (jōjun)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to the approximate first 10 days of a month. Often used with a month name, e.g., 10月上旬 (early October).を指します。
一方、初めに は「はじめに (hajime ni)（N3）」として使用され、Used to indicate the very first thing that happens or should be done, often at the beginning of a speech, task, or explanation.を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
