英語の「face」を日本語で表現する際、面目 と 臨む では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
面目 は主に「めんぼく (memboku) / めんもく (memmoku)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to face, honor, reputation, or dignity in public.
