英語の「difficulty」を日本語で表現する際、困難 と 難航 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
困難 は主に「こんなん (konnan)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to a situation of difficulty, hardship, trouble, or distress that blocks progress. Often used as 困難に直面する or 困難な課題. ⚠️ Haruka's Voice Column: 'Difficulty! Often used with する to form 難航する 'to face difficulties'.を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
