英語の「difficult」を日本語で表現する際、難しい と 〜にくい では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
難しい は主に「むずかしい (muzukashii)（N5）」として使われ、An i-adjective used to describe tasks, problems, or subjects that require a lot of effort or understanding.を指します。
一方、〜にくい は「〜にくい (nikui)（N3）」として使用され、Indicates that an action is difficult to perform or that something is unlikely to occur. It is attached to the masu-stem (連用形) of a verb. (例：読みにくい)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
