英語の「difficult」を日本語で表現する際、むずかしい と 困難な では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
むずかしい は主に「むずかしい (muzukashii)（N5）」として使われ、An i-adjective used to describe something that is not easy to do or understand. The opposite of やさしい (easy/gentle).を指します。
一方、困難な は「こんなんな (konnan na)（N3）」として使用され、Used to describe situations or tasks that are difficult to achieve or overcome. More formal than 「難しい (muzukashii)」. 「困難」は名詞としても使う。を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
