英語の「demand」を日本語で表現する際、要求 と 督促手続 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
要求 は主に「ようきゅう (yōkyū)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to strongly asking or demanding something (actions, money, improvements, specifications). Often used as 要求に応じる or 品質要求. ⚠️ Haruka's Voice Column: 'Demand! 一方、督促手続 は「とくそくてつづき (tokusokutetsuzuki)（C2）」として使用され、(CEFR C2語彙シラバスにおける重要表現です。)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
