英語の「decline」を日本語で表現する際、衰退 と 衰える では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
衰退 は主に「すいたい (suitai)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to the decline, waning, or decay of a nation, economy, industry, or power. Can be used with する as a verb (衰退する).
