英語の「day」を日本語で表現する際、曜日 と 一昨日 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
曜日 は主に「ようび (youbi)（N5）」として使われ、Used to ask or state which day of the week it is (e.g., 月曜日 - Monday, 火曜日 - Tuesday).を指します。
一方、一昨日 は「おととい (ototoi)（N4）」として使用され、Refers to the day two days ago. Used for recent past events. Sometimes pronounced 'issakujitsu' in more formal contexts, but 'ototoi' is common for N4.を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
