決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「day」を日本語で表現する際、曜日 と おととい では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
曜日 は主に「ようび (youbi)（N5）」として使われ、Used to ask or state which day of the week it is (e.g., 月曜日 - Monday, 火曜日 - Tuesday).を指します。
一方、おととい は「おととい (ototoi)（N5）」として使用され、Refers to two days before today. While 一昨日 (issakujitsu) is another form, おととい is much more common in daily spoken Japanese.を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
