英語の「concrete」を日本語で表現する際、具体的 と 具象 では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
具体的 は主に「ぐたいてき (gutaiteki)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to being concrete, specific, or definite rather than abstract. Opposite: 抽象的. Often used as 具体的な説明 or 具体例. ⚠️ Haruka's Voice Column: 'Specific! 一方、具象 は「ぐしょう (gushou)（N1）」として使用され、Used to describe something that has a definite form or can be perceived by the senses, rather than being an abstract concept. Often appears with 化 (ka) as 具象化 (gushouka). (形や実体があり、感覚でとらえられること。抽象の対義語)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
