決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「change」を日本語で表現する際、変更する と おつり では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
変更する は主に「へんこうする (henkō suru)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to changing or modifying existing plans, rules, settings, or decisions to something else. Slightly more formal than 変える. 一方、おつり は「おつり (otsuri)（N3）」として使用され、Money returned after a purchase when you pay more than the exact amount. (買い物の際、支払額が商品代金より多い場合に返されるお金。)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
