英語の「be」を日本語で表現する際、混じる と 活躍する では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
混じる は主に「まじる (majiru)（N3）」として使われ、Refers to distinct elements or materials being mixed or blended into a whole while remaining somewhat distinguishable. Intransitive verb. Opposing word: 混ぜる. 一方、活躍する は「かつやくする (katsuyaku suru)（N3）」として使用され、Often used to describe someone performing well or playing a significant role in a specific field, event, or situation. (特定の分野や状況で、人が目覚ましい働きをしたり、重要な役割を果たす様子を表す際に使われます。)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
