決定的なニュアンスの違い・使い分け
英語の「always」を日本語で表現する際、しょっちゅう と しじゅう では明確なニュアンスの使い分けが存在します。
しょっちゅう は主に「しょっちゅう (shocchuu)（N2）」として使われ、Informal way to say "very often" or "all the time." Similar to 頻繁に (hinpan ni) but more colloquial. (いつも、頻繁に)を指します。
一方、しじゅう は「しじゅう (shijū)（N2）」として使用され、Emphasizes that something is continuous or happens throughout a period, or describes a constant habit. Similar to 常に (tsune ni) or いつも (itsumo) but often with a slightly more formal or comprehensive feel. (絶えず、いつも、初めから終わりまでずっと、という意味。)を表現します。アメリカ人学習者が直訳で最も間違えやすいポイントですので、違いを意識しましょう。
