The Nuance Difference: "見ます" vs "消える"

In Japanese, both 見ます and 消える are often translated to English but have distinct usages. 見ます (みます (mimasu)) represents "to see, to watch, to look" (Level: N5) and typically represents Polite form of 見る. On the other hand, 消える (きえる (kieru)) translates to "to disappear, to vanish (intransitive)" (Level: N4) and is used for An intransitive verb meaning something disappears or goes out by itself. Often used for lights, fire, or things that vanish naturally. The transitive counterpart is 消す. Mixing these up can sound unnatural to native Japanese speakers!
